Former students of South Nazirpur Secondary School, who won the first place in the high jump for girls (Large) in the 54th Winter National Sports Competition, welcomed Jannatul Islam, a student of the same institution. Md. Saifur Rahman (Mintu), a former student of the institution and a prominent educationist, was present as the chief guest at the event and presented valuable gifts to Jannat.
The school's headmaster Md. Jamal Hossain, teachers, students and local education enthusiasts were present at the time. In his speech, the chief guest congratulated Jannat, calling himself a proud student of the institution and emphasizing the importance of the students of this traditional institution achieving good results in studies as well as sports.
