The Alumni Committee of Dhaka University's Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management was inaugurated.
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the formal journey of the Alumni Association began with the alumni of this department serving Iftar in a cordial and cordial atmosphere.
This alumni association has been formed with 50 executive members, with Chandan Das as its president and SM Tarek Sultan as its general secretary. In addition, this committee includes alumni of this department working in various renowned institutions. Chandan Das is currently working as a Deputy Director at Bangladesh Bank and SM Tarek Sultan is working as Additional District Commissioner (General) in Gopalganj district.
The executive members of this committee, including the president, general secretary, and various social welfare and voluntary organizations, were involved in various social welfare and voluntary organizations since their student days.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the honorable chairman of this department, senior teachers, alumni members, and representatives of various current batches.
This alumni association will work as a common platform of the department. Through this platform, it will provide career planning and counseling to the students of the department, mentoring programs, social activities, organizing cultural programs, and will serve as the brand ambassador of the department at a larger scale.
